Chapter 120 Shadow Messenger (Part 2)
Dan pondered, his gaze fixed on the man in black. He was certain that this man had come to the slums for sinister reasons, and he knew that Raydon was the only person worth killing here.
\'\'Boss, what happened? We heard you yelling. Is there someone who is causing trouble?\'\'
Dan and the Shadow Messenger were standing silently and looking at each other when Fatty Sami\'s voice broke the silence.
\'\'Don\'t come here! He is strong. \'\' When Dan saw Fatty Sami, Karan, Pana, and the others approaching him, he yelled and tried to stop them.
\'\'Who is he? \'\' Despite Dan\'s warnings, Pana dashed in, looked at the Shadow Messenger, and asked.
\'\'Is he an item holder? \'\' Karan followed close behind, frowning.
Since Dan was now an item holder, he was significantly more powerful than the average human being. That\'s why Dan\'s use of the word "strong" raised Karan\'s suspicions.
"Yes, and more powerful than me." Dan gravely said.
Meanwhile, the shadow messenger was facepalming as he looked at Dan and the others. \'Damn, I forgot to take off my mask, and now they\'re causing an unnecessary commotion. \'
\'\'Hey, stop making a fuss before you offend anyone, okay? I really don\'t want to cause any trouble for anyone. \'\' While nervously scanning his surroundings, the Shadow Messenger said.
\'\'You think we would believe a man who hides his face, \'\' Pana exclaimed.
\'\'If you don\'t want any trouble, why don\'t you just leave? We are not afraid of you, so if a fight is what you seek, by all means, come. \'\'After positioning himself behind Dan, Fatty Sami raised his fists in a defiant gesture and said.
Hearing what his friends were saying made Dan break out in a cold sweat, but he was powerless to stop them. Dan\'s newfound assurance as an item holder, combined with Raydon\'s presence, may have made them forget just how ruthless item holders can be.
The Shadow Messenger\'s eyes twitched as he watched the drama unfold in front of him.
\'Do they have brains? Don\'t they know I can kill them all in a matter of seconds? They would all be drowning in their own blood right now if I hadn\'t known about the existence of that high-rank. \'
He simply wanted to complete the assignment given to him without causing any problems, but the morons in front of him kept getting in the way.
After observing these idiots for a while, he wondered if Raydon was no longer residing in this area.
\'Perhaps he has moved somewhere else. I wouldn\'t want to live in such a noisy neighborhood as well. It\'s likely that the high-rank item holder is also not present. \' In addition, he thought it was absurd that a person of such power would be staying here.
After using his investigation-type skill to survey the area and determine that no immediate danger existed, he heaved a sigh of relief and said angrily.
\'\'That\'s enough, you\'re running out of patience. \'\'
He lifted his hand and chanted. \'\'Shadow Bind. \'\'
\'\'Huh? \'\'
\'\'What are these?
\'\'Damn, I can\'t move. \'\'
Shadow hands suddenly materialized from each person\'s own shadows and seized them as the Shadow Messenger used his skill.
\'\'Be quiet. Don\'t force me to kill anyone,\'\' he repeated in an authoritative tone.
Everyone, including Fatty Sami, went completely silent at these words. It was clear that the enemy was extremely powerful. Dan, in whom they had placed their trust, was also frozen in place next to them.
In the sudden stillness that followed, the Shadow Messenger began to mutter to himself while rubbing his temples.
\'\'It seems like I came here for nothing. Most likely, they no longer reside in this area. Anyway, I cannot risk killing someone, but if I bring this young item holder with me, at least I won\'t be returning empty-handed. \'\'
Instead of using the stairs again, the Shadow Messenger jumped straight down and approached Dan when he finished thinking aloud.
\'\'All right, you come with me quietly. Don\'t worry, if you don\'t cause any trouble, no one will suffer. In fact, one day in the future, you will probably remember this day and thank me many times for taking you with me today. \'\' With a laugh, the Shadow Messenger stated. He considered Dan\'s opportunity to join the Trade Organization to be the best thing that could happen to him.
"Wait, where do you intend to take the boss?" When Karan heard that the Shadow Messenger was going to kidnap Dan, he screamed.
\'\'Karan, it\'s okay. \'\'
Dan met Karan\'s gaze steadily and said. \'\'Just let the master know when he returns. Please inform the master that I am fine and that he does not need to come looking for me.\'\'
He had witnessed Raydon bury an entire region into nothingness the last time he came to save them, and he did not wish to waste Raydon\'s time by asking him to come to save him again. No matter what, he had to figure out a way to survive on his own and get away.
Shadow Messenger was about to grab Dan by the arm, but he stopped when he heard what Dan had said. \'Master? \'
\'\'No need to worry, boss. When the master finds out about this, he will surely wipe this idiot out of existence just like he did that freak item holder\'s territory. \'\' Sami said. His tone suggested that there was no big deal about Dan being taken away by the Shadow Messenger.
\'Who is the master they are referring to? Which territory was wiped out? Wait… No way, right? \'
As the Shadow Messenger struggled to make sense of what he was hearing, he deactivated his skill, and the shadow hands that had been holding Dan and the others vanished.
"Who is this master you\'re talking about?" He asked in a voice that was shaking and hoped it wasn\'t what he was thinking.
"It\'s none of your business. You\'re going to die soon anyhow.\'\' Sami said it again in a matter-of-fact manner.
When the Shadow Messenger saw Sami speaking so confidently, he froze. He turned to look at the others and noticed that they were equally at ease.
At that precise moment, he only had one thought in mind. \'I\'m fucked up, right? \'
