Chapter 258: Bing-Er’s Emotional Attachment

Chapter 258: Bing-Er’s Emotional Attachment

Bing-Er\'s Emotional Attachment . . .

Having invested a substantial array of treasures and materials into the Space, Cha Eun Xiao could feel his spiritual qi surging. The once-desolate realm was now brimming with spiritual energy, undergoing a remarkable transformation. A smile of satisfaction graced his face as he left the room.

However, upon his return, he was met with the timid voice of a girl. Startled, Cha Eun Xiao turned to find her in the room, casting timid glances in his direction. He felt a tinge of embarrassment, questioning the wisdom of bringing her into his room. Over the past days, Bing-Er had grown accustomed to residing in his quarters, even occupying his bed.

His expression darkened as he regarded the girl. She was perspiring, her hair damp from exertion. "Why can\'t you just listen to me? Don\'t move around; you\'re not well yet," Cha Eun Xiao admonished. He inquired about her condition.

"It\'s nothing, nothing bad," Bing-Er responded with a contented smile. "I didn\'t move around casually for nothing. I was cultivating, and after I finished, the spiritual qi filled me. So, of course, I had to move my body a bit. It hurt a lot at first, and I broke a sweat from the pain. But... after moving, I always felt much better. It\'s not an illusion; it\'s the truth."

Sighing, Cha Eun Xiao knew he couldn\'t take her progress lightly. He approached her for an examination. Indeed, she had made significant strides. She had not only emerged from the critical danger zone but could now move about on her own. Her overall recovery was impressive. With a bit more rest, she was likely to fully recuperate.

The most challenging issue had been her lumbar vertebra, which had sustained extensive damage. Cha Eun Xiao had invested a considerable amount of treasures and medical resources into treating it. He spared no expense in his efforts. He had anticipated a lengthy healing process, even with the best resources at his disposal. Yet, Bing-Er\'s body had astounded him once more. With her inexplicable assistance, the efficacy of the medical materials concentrated on her waist. Nothing was wasted, resulting in a faster recovery of her lumbar vertebra.

Cha Eun Xiao couldn\'t help but ponder the mysterious aid Bing-Er seemed to provide.

Regardless of the quality of the treatment or the materials used, if they were applied to the wrong area, there would be no improvement in Bing-Er\'s lumbar vertebra. During the treatment process, it was inevitable that some of the material\'s efficacy would be lost. It would have been highly efficient if half of the medical materials had worked on the intended target. The lost efficacy would either remain within the body or be expelled from it, providing minimal benefit to the affected area.

This issue highlighted a deficiency in the Chinese medical method known as "combat poison with poison." The part of the poisonous treatment that didn\'t work could ultimately harm the body. In fact, the concept of medical efficacy followed a similar principle. The portion of efficacy that couldn\'t benefit the body essentially became "poison," which explained why many medicines had inherent toxicity.

Bing-Er\'s inexplicable assistance prevented the loss of medical efficacy in an astonishing manner. It directed nearly all of the medicine\'s effects toward the target area. Consequently, her recovery process would likely be much shorter than Eun Xiao had anticipated.

What made this extraordinary was not Bing-Er\'s willingness to help, nor the process itself. In fact, if Bing-Er were a super-powerful cultivator, such an ability might not have been as surprising. Even most ordinary Dream Origin Stage cultivators would struggle to achieve this feat. However, in Eun Xiao\'s eyes, Bing-Er was an ordinary girl who had lost her memory, yet she possessed this remarkable capability. That was why it left him incredulous.

"It\'s truly difficult to compare one person to another," Eun Xiao sighed as he glanced upward.

He couldn\'t help but acknowledge that there were true geniuses in the world. Bing-Er\'s gift was astonishing, but so were her resilience and determination.

Every slight movement caused her considerable pain. Still, she persisted in moving daily, attempting to practice and expedite her recovery. Eun Xiao had once advised her that increased movement would enhance her body\'s ability to absorb the medical efficacy, expediting her recovery.

She remembered his words.

Despite the excruciating pain that brought tears to her eyes with every movement, she persevered simply because Eun Xiao had told her it would help her heal faster.

In a dimly lit room filled with the scent of herbal medicine, Bing-Er lay on her bed, her delicate features twisted in pain. She knew that her recovery was essential if she wanted to be of service to her beloved brother. Clenching her lips to stifle a whimper, she gingerly extended her aching limbs.

As she winced through the agony, her tear-filled eyes locked onto Cha Eun Xiao, her savior and confidant. In those tearful gazes, there were unspoken pleas and fervent hopes.

Cha Eun Xiao, observing Bing-Er\'s suffering, couldn\'t help but feel his heart constrict with distress. His voice, soothing and caring, cut through the silence of the room. "Bing-Er, your first priority should be your own well-being. Don\'t concern yourself with others."

Bing-Er\'s head bobbed gently in agreement, though her steps were hesitant and pained as she approached Cha Eun Xiao. She reached out, her trembling hands grasping his arm for support. Looking up at him, her eyes held a mixture of gratitude and relief. With a shaky breath, she murmured, "I can\'t find peace until you return."

A heavy sigh escaped Cha Eun Xiao\'s lips as he understood the depth of Bing-Er\'s attachment. "Very well," he conceded. "Come, let me assist you in preparing for rest."

Bing-Er\'s cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and she stammered, "I think I can manage on my own."

Relief washed over Cha Eun Xiao at her words. The daily task of helping her bathe was a peculiar form of torment, one that weighed heavily on him both visually and mentally. It was a burden that transcended physical pain, and he was grateful to be spared it, if only for that night.

As Cha Eun Xiao sat on the side of the bed, he found himself immersed in a torturous struggle. The sound of water splashing from the bathroom reminded him of the alluring figure that awaited him there. It was a mature naked body, flawlessly sculpted and captivating in its perfection. Yet, he couldn\'t help but feel a sense of guilt and self-loathing whenever he entertained any impure thoughts about her.

The weight of his desires burdened him, as if he carried a heavy sin regardless of his actions. He saw himself as a monster, unworthy of her purity and grace. The first time he witnessed her washing herself, it was an experience that threatened to overwhelm him entirely.

But he had a duty to fulfill. He had to suppress his desires and be there for her, even if it meant simply cuddling and helping her fall asleep. It was a self-imposed restriction, a way to ensure that their relationship remained innocent and untainted. The torment he endured was unimaginable, as he forced himself to acknowledge his monstrous nature before sinking even lower, considering himself beneath a mere beast.

However, a glimmer of hope emerged. The girl had grown, becoming capable of taking care of herself. This newfound independence brought him a sense of relief and joy. It was a blessing, a sign that perhaps the torment he had endured for so long would finally come to an end.

As he sat there, listening to the rhythmic splashing of water, Cha Eun Xiao\'s mind wandered to the image of that alluring body once more. His nose grew hotter, threatening to release a torrent of blood. The struggle within him intensified, as he fought against his own desires, desperately clinging to the hope that he could overcome the monster within.
