Life didn't get easier, even in another world.

Chapter 301

No one cared about the holy saint’s words anymore as all of them were focused on the light, no, everyone was focused on the person that had appeared by the light.

In the place where the light of the sun was focused, on the spot right where the flash of light had landed, a man slowly floated in the air and landed right in that place.

He was moving down in a slow and gentle matter, like a fluttering feather, his long red hair fluttering in the air behind him as he landed on the ground, his long coat moving up and down with his movements.

“Huh...”

Kairen couldn’t close his gaped mouth.

“Red hair...”

What he saw in front of his face was the back of someone and a bunch of red hair fluttering in the air.

“Red... So pretty...”

.....

He didn’t know why, but the first thought that crossed his mind was how red hair looked so pretty. It looked like rays of sunlight, or maybe flames... He didn’t know, but he felt like a kid who was seeing the stars for the first time.

“....”

As soon as those stupidly meaningless words left Kairen’s mouth, the red-haired man slightly turned his head towards Kairen. Kairen couldn’t see his face completely as he was sitting on the floor right behind the person’s back, but he saw how he had red pupils and how he had a slight frown on his face.

‘Huh...’

It was just then that Kairen realized something.

‘It doesn’t hurt...’

His body, which ached all over since he overused his power, had stopped hurting at some point. He was now instead feeling refreshed and warm as if he has stepped into a hot spring. Kairen couldn’t help but stare at the redhead, who was the source of this feeling.

“My prince!”

The man immediately turned toward the holy saint. The two of them stared at each other in silence.

‘Prince?’

Kairen’s eyes widened in surprise.

‘Prince? This is the ‘prince’ that this crazy man had mistaken me for?’

Kairen looked at the redhead’s back and then at the holy saint.

‘What the hell bro, are you blind?’

How could he mistake Kairen for this man? How in the world was that even possible? Just look at this man! He had fucking red hair! Red! How could someone mistake him for anyone!?

‘Nah wait, why does he call this dude ‘my prince’ anyway?’

That was really strange.

“You...”

This time, it was Aaron who mumbled while looking at the redhead. He was glancing between the man, Kairen, the holy sain, and then the white stone with nervous eyes, not knowing which one he had to pay attention to.

‘Does he know this man?’

Kairen wondered while looking at his brother’s face.

“Take back what is yours.”

The redhead commented, pointing at the white stone still floating in the air before glancing at Aaron.

“....”

Aaron looked at the man, then at the holy saint, then took one step towards the stone with hesitation. He was examining the holy saint to see if he would attack him if he approached the stone, but the white-haired dude didn’t even react after Aaron grabbed the stone and ran back to where Kairen was.

The holy saint glanced at Aaron before sighing and shaking his head.

“What a pity... I really wanted that thing...”

He then raised his head to look at the redhead... prince.

“Can’t you give one to me as well? As your old friend, don’t I deserve to have one of your new toys?”

“...”

Kairen couldn’t see the redhead’s face, but he could see that he was shaking his head.

“It’s nice to meet you too, Samuel!”

The man’s voice was neither cold nor warm, it didn’t contain any emotions at all.

“Ops! Where are my manners?”

The holy saint smiled, moved one foot back, placed his hand on his heart, and bowed his head down.

“My greetings to prince Roy of the empire!”

“....”

“....”

“....”

Kairen, Aaron, and the three other agents on the other side looked at each other with blank faces.

‘Huh? What is going on?’

Why were they in a historical show all of a sudden? They all felt like they suddenly didn’t belong in this place and had to leave.

“Enough with the bullshit!”

The redhead... Roy, was it? Roy said with a serious tone. His voice was still the emotionless one but it carried a heavy and deep pressure in it.

“First of all, stop calling me with that ridiculous title.”

The man glanced at the white stone in Aaron’s hands after he said that, ignoring the frown that was slowly finding its way to the holy saint’s face.

“Second, this is not a toy!”

He then shifted his gaze back to the holy saint.

“And third, stop messing up with the kids. I thought you were old enough to understand such things, Samuel.”

The redhead closed his mouth, still staring at the holy saint whom he called Samuel. The smile on Samuel’s face had already faded and his gaze was sinking low.

“So it’s like this...”

He then mumbled.

“I was so excited to meet you again, you know?”

Crackle

A small number of red electric currents jumped in the air.

“And here you are, lecturing me as soon as you’ve appeared, huh?”

Bzzz

Crackle

The atmosphere around the man was getting serious and the air was getting tense. He seemed genuinely irritated at the redhead’s words and he didn’t try to hide it at all.

“Ren!”

Aaron, who had walked behind the man named Roy’s back, grabbed Kairen’s arm and pulled him back. As soon as he did, a huge amount of red electric currents were shot towards the redhead.

“And you are attacking me as soon as we’ve met...”

The redhead mumbled as he closed his eyes.

Crackle

Bzzzz

A light shone in the area. A golden aura was oozing out of the redhead, surrounding him, and giving off light and warmth.

“Cracks?”

It wasn’t light. The thing that was covering the redhead was definitely cracks. Golden cracks. He was sure of it. They looked just like Kairen’s, but they were shinier and prettier. Kairen’s power had never had an aura like this to his. It had never emanated light like this... or never was as powerful as this.

Shhhhh

The red electric currents faded as soon as they came in contact with the redhead’s aura.

“This isn’t the place for this.”

Roy shook his head.

.....

“And neither we are young enough to quarl like this.”

‘You look young enough though...’

Now that Kairen was dragged away by Aaron and was no longer behind the man, he could clearly see his face. And he looked young enough... He looked around the same age as Aaron, maybe in his mid-twenties. The holy sain didn’t look any older. He also seemed to be around the same age as Roy.

“Also...”

The golden aura kept spreading around.

“I don’t feel like dealing with your madness right now. Screw off!”

“....”

The holy saint closed his mouth.

“Pfft!”

Then he chuckled.

“Alright alright!”

He waved his hand in the air leisurely. His face had lit up and he was smiling once again.

‘His mood shifts so easily huh?’

Wasn’t he mad... just a few seconds ago? Kairen shook his head. It didn’t matter. It wasn’t like he doubted that this man was crazy.

“But before I leave... answer me a question.”

“....”

The redhead didn’t protest, so the holy saint continued to talk.

“Why is a child of Fate in this place?”

“...”

Roy’s brows slightly frowned.

“And why does it protect that man?”

The holy saint pointed at Kairen at that moment, making him flinch and look up at the red-haired man. His eyes met with the man as he did that.

“....”

“....”

The man’s gaze on him was strange. The eyes looking at him weren’t the eyes of someone meeting the other for the first time. It was as if he already knew everything about Kairen. Kairen also didn’t feel like it was the first time meeting this man, although that actually was the case. The man soon turned his gaze away and looked back at the holy saint.

“And why would I answer that?”

“Right?”

The white-haired man shrugged.

“What else did I expect anyway?”

Bzzz

As he shook his head, all of the remaining red cracks disappeared from the air and the tense atmosphere went back to normal again.

“Instead, you answer me... Why are you messing around with this place? Hmm?”

Crackle

This time, it was golden cracks that spread around in the air. Unlike the red currents, they didn’t have an ominous aura to them and felt more gentle rather than threatening, but there was no need for the ominous aura for people to know how strong they were.

“Haven’t you had enough? Aren’t you tired?”

“Oy oy!”

The holy saint waved his hands in the air.

“I thought we were old enough not to quarl like this?”

“Get lost!”

“....”

The man closed his mouth, glanced around, sighed, and nodded his head.

“Alright.”

Shhhhh

And then disappeared with a red flash of light.

“....”

“....”

“....”

Silence descended in the area.

‘Just like that?’

The holy saint, that crazy dude, left like that? It looked more like he ran away with his tail between his legs rather than leaving...

And they... didn’t do anything at all. No one fought anyone... and all they did was listen to two strangers talk.

“Huh...”

The situation felt so strange and alien to Kairen, and also to the others. They were all staring at the place where the holy saint had disappeared with blank faces before all of them turned towards the red-haired man all at once.

“Who are you-”

“Goodbye!”

FWOSH

The man disappeared from sight.

“....”

“....”

“....”

Swosh

A cold breeze was blowing, five people were sitting on the ground in different locations, all staring at one spot without saying anything.
