Chapter 21 Genius Assassin Transmigrating To Ancient Times 20
Wei Luo soon reached his family ten miles outside the imperial capital. They were escorted by soldiers and great fan fare as befitting their status.
He broke down in tears as he rushed over to the carriage. They had left in secret for fear of losing their lives but they returned with great honour. He was truly grateful to that entity.
Two guards raised their spears against him before he got too close. He wanted to let down his cloak but then realized that he was still wearing the Fu Hei human skin mask.
He looked to his father riding with his soldiers in front and quickly called out to him.
General Wei looked backwards. He was pretty sure he heard his son\'s voice just now. When he saw the cloaked figure, his eyes widened a bit and he waved at his men to let him in the carriage and then he rode over to join them.
Once in the carriage, Wei Luo tore off the human skin mask and broke down into tears as he stared at his family. Even if he\'d spent all his life outside. He still exchanged letters and gifts with them so it felt like he was always with them.
Finding out that they were imprisoned and awaiting death had torn his heart apart and he\'d rushed down the mountain without full preparation.
The Wei family members all stared at the teary eyed Wei Luo with tears in their own eyes. They hadn\'t seen him for almost two years since he left to gain experience but that didn\'t matter now.
General Wei smacked his head. "You\'re a man. What are you crying so much for?"
Xu-di smacked general Wei\'s arm in return. "Who says men can\'t cry? Do you think he is a wooden block like you? Let our Luo Luo cry, he is only feeling emotional and that\'s okay."
They both laughed and held each other.
The twins were so happy seeing their parents\' interaction. Their father was not one that showed too much care or emotion and even when people thought that their mother was quickly promoted to main wife because of their father\'s love. They knew it wasn\'t true.
Their father only did that because a di wife was needed to take care of the home account and general affairs so as a straightforward man, he didn\'t want to go through the stress of marrying another di wife.
The time they spent in their little brother\'s master\'s mountain had helped them to strengthen their bond as a family together. After all they\'d gone through a lot right from their time in prison. They looked to their little brother. It was only because of him, he truly grew up to be an outstanding man.
When the Wei family entered the capital, the people screamed in happiness and also let out their apologies and cries as they showered them with numerous gifts.
They were led to the imperial palace where the emperor also showered them with gifts and even granted general Wei a one time crime waive imperial edict for his meritorious service to the nation and endurance in the face of difficulties.
After returning to their home and settling down, they all decided to pay Wei Yun\'er a visit. They truly didn\'t know where they went wrong, they needed closure.
Once they got close to the courtyard, the Wei family members heard screaming. It was Wei Yun\'er and Xian Taiwen going at each other.
"You shameless woman! It is all your fault I\'ve been reduced to this!"
"My fault? Xian Taiwen you\'re a shameless bastard! Why not admit it was because you were an incompetent ruler? You even needed your elder brother to come wipe your ass!"
"You!" Xian Taiwen was about to go over to Wei Yun\'er and grab her neck when he suddenly noticed the Wei family watching them from the entrance of the courtyard. His face reddened in shame and he directly walked away.
"Where are you going? Can\'t stand the truth?!" Wei Yun\'er was about to rush after him when she also noticed the Wei family. She paused and then launched herself at them but was caught by the guards in time.
"It\'s you! It\'s all your fault! You vicious, pretentious wolves, you should all be dead. I wasn\'t supposed to end up this way, you should be here instead! I should have killed you all when I had the chance. Stupid cowards why are you hiding behind the guards? Why don\'t you come at me?!"
General Wei\'s eyes were red. Why did she hate them so much? Even if he spent all his time at the frontlines he never really maltreated any of his children. He treated them fairly equally and he even had to admit he treated Wei Yun\'er the best as she was the daughter of his first wife.
All of them, except Wei Luo, tried to reason with her but she kept screaming incoherently and the guards had to knock her out and take her away. The Wei family left without getting the closure they came for.
Months later, Wei Hua Yu became the imperial honourable consort of the emperor whilst Wei Hua Yi became the di wife of the right prime minister\'s son.
As for Xian Taiwen and Wei Yun\'er, their dead bodies were discovered a month after the Wei family\'s return to the imperial capital. Half of Xian Taiwen\'s skin had melted off whilst Wei Yun\'er had a hole in her throat.
Apparently, Wei Yun\'er tried to escape but how could Xian Taiwen let her? In her anger she mobilized the poisoned needle, she\'d worked had to create starting from when she was in the dungeon, against him.
In his panic, Xian Taiwen grabbed a thick wooden stick and stabbed Wei Yun\'er to death before the poison succeeded in killing him.
Wei Luo sighed when he heard this. As callous as it seemed, he finally felt relief. His family members were all doing well so he finally decided to return to his master in the mountain.
Master Shi smiled gently when his disciple appeared before him and nodded. "You\'re finally back."
