Chapter 369: Tribulation Of The Gods
Chapter 369: Tribulation Of The Gods
BOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!
Crackling with enough power to shatter worlds simply by its buzzing, a powerful cloak of darkness hovered like a mist around my body, protecting me from unnecessary danger.
Sitri, Levithan, Baphomet, Yemashelitl, Ezra, and lastly, Eithan were now all within my tribulation bring to a level of unknown proportion. I did not know what the upper limit of divine tribulations was or if there ever was one. But the skies were gone, the air stale with the Dao of Destruction, leaving only a sea of Azure death.
"Adrienne," I gently called, knowing Sitri was far too busy battling in subspace to bother. Appearing from my very shadow, she smiled with an ashen expression.
Frowning at her pale grimace, I wearily spoke, "Will it be too much?"
"I would not have shone if it was my prince." she weakly pronounced, looking bearly able to stand, "This level of power cannot hurt us. But you... you will be dead simply by the shockwaves. You may not be able to sense it, but this tribulation is absorbing divinity."
"It\'s curious, is it not? Such a power that could decimate entire worlds could not harm you, but whatever occurred in your castle was able to." I probed, knowing it was not the time.
"I can neglect the force damage but, the rest you will have to do." She cunningly muttered, closing her eyes. "Also, if you must know, Lilith is with me... I got the spikes out but"
Arching my lips, I grinned, "Oh, I know, that was why I blasted her off the island. I needed Sitri\'s full attention on me and my spear so that you could grab her."
"You knew!" she shouted, snapping her gaze toward me. "
"But of course." I jokingly stated, sending a measured stare towards the devil and angel standing idly. It was sad, but these things could not even think for themselves, unlike my faceless. There were simply droids. "Why else would I strick my wife? Who could nearly show ten percent of her strength? Any way hold these two down. I will handle the rest.
"You truly think so?" The all-powerful voice of Aldrich resounded, sending shivers down those that heard his mighty voice. "You think it will be that easy?"
Licking my lips, the nine suns within my Dantian shone with power, absorbing Qi till another resounding echo took off. Rippling through my body, the path of Abyssal Night started to refine the excess Qi while distributing each strain of qi equal into my nine suns.
Feeling my power rinsing more and more, I could hear my very bones beginning to crack before reforming.
"Aldrich," I softly muttered, oddly calm this time around. Maybe it was due to the Path of Abyssal Darkness flowing endlessly around me, refining both my body and Qi; I did not feel that anger from before. "Are you here for Sitri or me?"
"Both," he surprisingly replied. "A single strike and the Path of World will be at your hand, but I am sure you already know this."
Pondering the limitless power growing out of hand, I remained still, turning to the spear within my palm; I held a grin, "Aldrich, did you know I would be the next prince of Noctem?"
"Yes and No. He—"
"You mean my brother," I correct, knowing Aldrich was simply trying to push me deeper into a whole by wasting time.
Indeed," Said Aldrich, "To give the both of you a chance to stand at his side as equals, he made a deal with two beings. One being the Creator of Aether and the other The Goddess of Night Tenebrae."
Creator? Does that mean the Twelve Planes were not formed through natural means? If so, then it would seem these titles hold more a deeper meaning. So who was the creator of Iluthath? The single realm that mysteriously vanished.
Narrowing my gaze, Adrienne, who remained at my side, backed away as the power within the heavens reached its zenith.
Expanding till I felt all of heaven and earth within my sights, a mysterious man appeared within the center of the nebula. His features were blurred, but his clothing was emaculated, holding a shade of white I never thought to exist. It felt, in a way, eternal.
Yet, as this being gaze fell upon me, blood instantly exploded from both myself and Ezra, the two weakest beings to be upon Yu\'drol at this moment.
Groaning, I staggered, struggling to stand as an inhuman amount of pressure began cursing my very core. Feeling my dantian being attacked, the spear of Noctem within my palms hummed to life.
Fueled with a powerful divinity from those Valkierse, I flashed my bloody teeth towards the man I knew to be Aldrich.
Wiping the blood from my lips, Adrienne gave me a profound stare, arching a single finger, "One, that is all. No matter what, you must survive. This single bolt is what all must face entering the Realm of World. It is known as the Gate of Godhood. Be it in body cultivation or Qi, everyone must face it.
Raising the Spear of Noctem to my face, a fiendish Black flame flashed all around me. The flame itself could only be described as perfect, for before the very destruction that gripped the skies, the flame upon my body shone like that of a god.
"Appear!" Aldrich aloofly commanded towards the Bed of Chaos.
Showing to no imitations at how every last god that had vanished returned, I hovered off the ground towards the skies, which seemed only to represent death.
Surrounded by black flames that seemed to destroy creation itself, the power of heaven and earth began to scream as the sounds of man, god, and demons fell silent.
Overflowing with black flames, space suddenly began to shift as a silver-headed goddess appeared with a familiar expression, staring me down as though I was meat.
"Wait till I\'m done... if you still remember who I am." I whispered, rising higher towards the stars.
"One hour," she somberly stated, "After that... we both are gone."
Bitting my lips, I could not help but pause, turning to Lilith with a bitter expression, "I...I know." I listlessly said, a little apprehensive, for it was not just Lilith there to be tormented alone.
Turning my attention back to Aldrich, my expression turned to one who held everything within his grasp. The laws, the concept, I could feel them all flowing beside my soul as Aldrich stared down from above.
"Come!"
