Chapter 400: Ring of Babylon
Chapter 400: Ring of Babylon
"...Tiamat?... Did... I... No, no? Oh god!" I muttered as Lilith somehow sensed a faint stir within me. Ignoring the blood trickling for my nose, a devilish smile slithered its way onto her lips as she sneered.
"You didn\'t, did you?" She uttered sharply as I backed away to everyone\'s bewilderment, oozing sweat from my every pore.
Opening my mouth, words seemed to fail me as I faintly nodded. "Why is it you can sense that of all things?"
"So you banged Tiamat, didn\'t you!" Lilith furiously cried, crossing her arms in a fit of flames. "And without me!!!"
Shadow stepping behind the little dragon, I held her up as a shield. She had to die, "I can\'t even remember it! And you were not even born yet! Why are you mad!" I screamed as Arkanos giggled in laughter, unaware of the impending doom glaring daggers into me. "Tia was—"
"So it\'s \'Tia\' now?" muttered Lilith, scaring the shit out of me, "Tonight, Snow, you are mine all tonight!"
Um~That\'s a win-win for me!
"yes, dear," I replied in a whipped tone, trying to hide my smile behind the young dragon girl. It doesn\'t matter how you get the booty as long as you get it! That should be my motto! Although it kinda sounds rapey!
"I see you two have gathered the blood from the dragon girl and uncovered something interesting," An almighty voice resounded as space began to twist and bend, revealing the old pill maker standing with an excitable expression.
Losing her childlike laughter Arkanos shivered, within my palms. Placing her down, the young dragon ran behind Lilith with tears brimming from her eyes.
"Indeed," Lilith answered as I tossed the ring, Virsair had given us before we started ascending the mountain into his palms.
Sensing the flicker of Divinity sprinkle around his hand, Virsair lifted his lips, "It\'s done—"
Frowning at the sudden pause, a shiver, unlike anything I felt before, trickled down my spine as a mist of crimson exploded into the air like a warm summer breeze.
Watching a God savagely perish before my eyes, all we could do was stand still, watching as a mysterious being step from out from the scarlet mist that was Virsair.
"Mother?!" Lilith cried out in shock.
Giggling in her small tender palms, the azure-headed goddess Levi-Chan sent us a victory V with her petite fingers, "Didn\'t think I was so badass, did you? Victory! As the young people say these days, \'i\'m a bad bitch\'!"
Nodding in agreement, Levi-Chan abruptly waved her hands. Feeling a burning sensation upon my finger, my eyes grew wide at the flash of silver that was never there before. Bearing down at the strange ring filled with what appeared to be infernal runes, Leviathan\'s stern voice sounded.
"Things have changed and for the worst. It would seem with the death of Yeshamiel, the Angels have taken up a new mantle under a new god."
"The hell are you all talking about! Who is this!" Yu Jing roared, lifting her sword albeit in vain.
"What do you mean?" I faintly urged, tracing the silver serpent ring coiling around my finger.
Sending, Arkanos, Yu Jing, and Li Su a profound glance, their bodies immediately fell limp upon the ground, whether they were dead or not, I could not say as Levi-Chan continued.
"Your actions may have pushed all the wrong buttons, Snow! You may have just screwed over every person within creation!"
Still a little confused, that did not stop me from agreeing. After all, pissing people off is what I do best! "But of course I am after all the second coming! Chosen by—"
Bopping me on the head, Lilith solemnly inquired, "Mother, please ignore this idiot! Continue, please. Why do we have the Rings of Babylon?"
"Well, because of Arsene, someone took the chance to ascend onto God\'s Heavenly Throne within the Seven Heavens."
"..."
Wait! Why are they blaming me! That\'s bull shit!
"Mother!" I shamelessly asserted. "All I want to know is if I am their main target?"
Shugging her shoulder, Levi-chan smirked, "Who the hell can say, but if I was to guess, I am sure you were the main reason Raziel was able to sit on the throne. To do so, he must have definitely made promises to hunt you down and kill you. Hence the reason I gave you these rings."
Peering down at the Silver Serpent and Lilith\'s Golden Serpent coiling around our ring finger, Levithan\'s intentions seemed to escape me.
"What do they do?"
"It\'s one of the best tools of deception, as it holds both the power of hell and heaven locked within. These two rings will not only hide your aura\'s but will also refine qi from each Plane for you. They are powerful relics. However, the effects are just as evil."
"Whoever holds these rings will grow to hate and kill each one another, "Lilith grimly described, "But the rings will only work when the two rings are together hence the reason it\'s called the Ring of Babylon. It builds you up, but in the end, it will cause you to fall."
"Indeed, this ring is powerful, holding various other features, but for now, just know it will hide you and help you refine Qi and Divinity. A tower to Heaven or Hell, guess you two will get to pick which one you want to join." Levithan sadistically said, knowing we didn\'t really have a choice in the matter.
"In this case, I think heaven will be our only choice. We are soul benders; do you think its effects will harm us?" I faintly muttered beneath my breath, a little wary of these relics. After all, simply being soul-benders doesn\'t mean soul base attack can never harm us. Nothing is ever absolute.
"And that is precisely the reason I gave you these rings. Anyway, I have to go and Lilith, we will be seeing each other more often than not. I will be your master from now on in the art of combat."
"Eh?"
"Yep," Levi-Chan joyfully exclaimed, licking her cherry lips; she shifted her attention to me, "And Sene, those rings will also hide what we do from Asmo."
Gulping down at the thought, watching as she traced her lips with her tongue Levi-Chan sent me a cute wink that had my heart in a fiery state of lust." Although I have never lied to my husband, so when he finds out I cheated on him again, I am sure he will kill you, but it\'s definitely worth it! At least that\'s what everyone says before Asmo turns them to ash!"
Flickering away before I could say anything, the hairs upon my body began to rise into the air as a chill invaded my spine, "Darling... I swear nothing! And I mean nothing will happen!"
Lifting her lips into what seemed like that of a serpent, Lilith\'s arms slithered their way down into my trousers. Gripping my manhood with both hands, she stared deeply into me.
"It\'s either I join you two, or it doesn\'t happen!"
"EH?"
