Chapter 1846 - The Dead May Enter, The Living May Not

Nineteen immortal sabers appeared in the air before Supreme Rudao had done performing the hand seal. The sabers slashed at the Heaven Demon Beast, resulting in a series of explosions. The beast was blasted into a demon gas.

However, in just less than a breath’s time, the demon gas rapidly gathered and reclaimed the appearance of the Heaven Demon Beast. It did not seem to be injured apart from its slightly weakened aura.

When Supreme Rudao performed a hand seal, an ancient gate descended from the sky and slammed right onto the Heaven Demon Beast.

The beast cried out in agony while struggling to break free, but it was no use.

“Humph, do you really think I can’t do anything to you?”

Supreme Rudao twisted her lips. She then said to Qin Nan, “It will trap the beast for a hundred breaths. You can now try if you can subdue it with the drop of demon blood in your body.”

“Mengyao, you are attentive as always.”

Qin Nan smiled. He took a deep breath and walked up to the Heaven Demon Beast. He stared right into the beast’s eyes.

A strange sight took place. The fierce Heaven Demon Beast soon wore a confused look, which was replaced by a respectful attitude. It lowered its head and cried softly.

“It seems like the drop of demon blood is like a protective charm. You should be safe here,” Supreme Rudao nodded.

She was being extremely cautious because one of the Hundred Evil Species, the Heaven Demon Beast had already shown up before they even reached the tomb. How dangerous would it be as they ventured deeper into the place?

Supreme Rudao waved her hand to withdraw the gate. The Heaven Demon Beast glanced at her with fear before waving its claws at Qin Nan in strange motions.

Qin Nan realized something after observing the beast for a moment. He asked, “Are you trying to say...you can bring us to the tomb?”

The Heaven Demon Beast immediately nodded.

“Not bad, that might save us a lot of trouble.”

Supreme Rudao complimented the beast. She dragged Qin Nan and flew onto the back of the Heaven Demon Beast. The beast wriggled a few times and let out a few cries before sprinting forward swiftly.

A few moments later, Supreme Rudao and Qin Nan’s eyes were filled with astonishment.

The dangers of the place completely exceeded their imaginations!

They discovered countless ravines across the land that intertwined with one another, and almost every ravine had one or several enormous beings at the bottom.

Some were in deep slumber as they could hear snores coming out of the ravines. Others were brawling with one another. Every time their claws clashed, it would produce a strong gust of wind.

Even the Heaven Demon Beast was slightly weaker than the creatures in the ravines.

Luckily, they simply ignored Qin Nan and Supreme Rudao as if they were unaware of their existence.

“The man was right. These places in the Six Unity Forbidden Land aren’t the normal kind of scary. Anyone that had yet to master the Dao would surely die in a place like this,” Supreme Rudao said softly while looking at Qin Nan’s face from the side.

She had a strange feeling.

She almost became the Strongest Immortal in the past, and had a chance to become a Master of Dao too, yet a little Heaven Immortal had brought her to a place that she would never dare to enter.

Time gradually passed. Around half the period it took an incense to burn, the Heaven Demon Beast arrived at a bottomless cliff. It came to a stop and let out a few cries.

“The tomb is at the bottom of the cliff. We’ll have to go down ourselves.”

Qin Nan roughly understood what the beast was trying to say. He exchanged glances with Supreme Rudao. The two of them nodded before jumping from the cliff.

The wind howled by their ears as they rapidly fell down the cliff.

They initially thought it would only take them a few breaths to reach the bottom, but the cliff was taller than they had imagined. They finally saw a black land below after a thousand breaths later. They quickly stabilized themselves to land safely on the ground.

They immediately observed their surroundings. Their eyes widened following a glance.

They were currently standing on a pitch-black land with no visible ends. The only things they could see were ancient graves in every direction.

The graves did not surprise them, but most importantly, they were tied with black chains that formed eighteen different tombs!

“According to Ling Lanlan, there should only be a huge tomb here that belongs to the owner of the demon blood, why are there...”

Qin Nan was astounded.

“I haven’t seen any traps or formations so far.”

Supreme Rudao executed an eye-technique to scan the surroundings. She pointed in a direction as she suddenly discovered something, “Qin Nan, these tombs each have a boulder with something written on it.”

Qin Nan went up to one of the boulders and read the ancient words aloud, “I have died of misfortune and buried here with a bunch of friends. I have left some successions. Those who are fateful may claim them. I’m only a rogue cultivator, Li Zhu.”

Supreme Rudao’s eyes flickered as she spoke, “Li Zhu? He was an authority that successfully became a Master of Dao around ten thousand years ago! He’s dead already!?”

She quickly glanced at the boulder of another tomb as she thought of something, “I left no regrets in my life. My name is Wen Jian...”

She proceeded to read every boulder. Her eyes were gradually filled with astonishment.

The eighteen tombs all belonged to authorities of the Master Realm!

The tomb of a Master of Dao alone was most likely going to attract the attention of many factions. It might even attract authorities of the Master Realm too.

And yet, there were eighteen of them here!

If someone knew about this place, the formidable factions might even pay a huge price to eliminate the beasts along the way to force their way in!

Qin Nan quickly scanned the tombs too. His demon heart pounded heavily when it was the second last tomb.

“This must be the tomb that Ling Lanlan was referring to!”

The immortal flames in Qin Nan’s eyes flickered. He quickly went forward and looked at the boulder in front of the tomb.

It was different from the other boulders. The others would indicate whom the tomb belonged to, but this one only had eight words written with blood on it.

The dead may enter, the living may not!

The eight words were not emitting any aura, yet Qin Nan felt his heart skipping a beat. It was as if a pair of cold eyes were staring at him to see if he really had the guts to go inside.

“Qin Nan, this place...”

Supreme Rudao came up to Qin Nan with a frown.

As Qin Nan was about to move, an indifferent voice suddenly came out from the tomb, “The two little kids out there, hurry up and come inside. Stop wasting time, you’ll be fine.”
