Chapter 403 The Devil
403 The Devil
The process of creating the Universe of Runes took a full week.
Elliot and Jessica Sands ended up creating the exact same Universe of Runes, while Jul\'Taras and Monkey King did the same.
And as soon as their Universe of Runes were created, their vast accumulated power started to rise exponentially.
From low tier Emperor to middle, to top and then to peak, before finally subliming into the Hegemon level!
And even then, Jessica, Jul\'Taras and Monkey King saw powers continuing to rise before finally stopping at the edge of the next massive chasm.
The chasm between Hegemon level and Ancient level - the mastery of souls.
They opened their eyes as completely different beings than before.
As Kings, they were cannon fodder.
But now as Hegemons wielding Darklight Energy upon the solid foundation of the Universe of Runes, they were already strong enough to contend with Primals!
As soon as they finished, they glanced at Elliot who was still powering up endlessly.
Elliot was different from them.
He had received the ten Dragon Souls and those souls granted his own dragon soul a vast accumulation that pushed him very, very far across the chasm.
He couldn\'t completely cross the chasm just yet, but he definitely had half a step into the Ancient level.
When he finally opened his eyes, an invisible aura of power radiated calmly from him.
It wasn\'t an arrogant, domineering aura.
It was fully draconic, and more importantly, it was a firm but boundlessly kind aura.
While his three friends were taken by pleasant surprise at his brand new aura, Elise Sands was stunned.
Never in her long life had she felt such a unique aura!!
A kind aura? An aura that could express kindness? What in all of heaven was that?
Elliot blinked a few times as he revelled in the might of his new power and then he sighed deeply.
"I have just crossed a massive chasm, and risen dramatically in power. Yet here I am, once again facing a chasm. Souls, eh? The next big divide." Elliot smiled ruefully. "But I should be grateful. Even at this level… I am at the very top in this realm."
At his words, the kind aura retracted itself and sheer majesty flowed out from him inundated the whole room.
There was not one bit of arrogance in his words.
It was a mere statement from the most powerful being in the entire known universe!
It was so obvious and so impossible to refute, that Elliot didn\'t even need to feel proud about it.
There was no need for a human being to be proud at the fact that he or she is taller than an ant!
In the same way, there was no need for Elliot to feel proud at being more powerful than the rest of the known universe!
Elise Sands gulped, even as his three friends stared at him reverently.
Elliot turned his eyes to look at Elise Sands.
"You are not my teacher, but you\'re the one who led me to this point. I am grateful." Elliot said softly before standing up.
"Please accept this bow as an expression of my gratitude and a sign of my respect for you." Elliot then bowed deeply.
"Alright, alright. I know your heart. Please stand up." Elise Sands sprang to her feet and gently pushed Elliot up.
If you want to know a person\'s true nature, observe him as he deals with those weaker and of much lower social standing than him.
The fact that Elliot\'s first act after ascending into complete power was to acknowledge the elder who had helped him to reach his position bore testimony of his true nature!
Elise Sands was extremely pleased.
She glanced at Jessica Sands and nodded approvingly.
Jessica Sands blushed deeply.
"Jessica." Elliot said warmly as he turned to Jessica Sands. "I am- huh? Why is your face so red?"
"Ah! I… I…" Jessica Sands stuttered before her instincts kicked in.
"The best defense is offense!" She thought.
"You!! How could you!!" Jessica Sands shouted and pointed at Elliot, who then stared at her in complete shock.
What the heck did he do???
"Ah? What did I do?" Elliot asked with very wide eyes surprise.
"You… you don\'t know what you did?" Jessica Sands pretended to be confused.
"No, I have no idea. Did I offend you and your great grandma or something?" He asked in confusion as he turned to look at Elise Sands who was grinning widely at him.
"You truly don\'t know?" Jessica Sands pretended to press him.
"I truly don\'t know." Elliot said seriously.
"Ah. Okay. I guess then you\'re forgiven. You can\'t fully blame someone for the sins they didn\'t know they committed in their ignorance after all. I forgive you." Jessica Sands patted Elliot\'s shoulders generously.
Elliot merely nodded and frowned lightly.
It would be a mystery that he, despite his vast intellect, would fail to crack for a very, very long time.

"Anyway, now that you\'ve grown so much stronger, there is a war that needs your intervention." Elise Sands reminded him. "And a strange God to kill."
Elliot nodded and with a thought, sent his existing clones to the battle hotspots of the known universe.
He then summoned a few newer and more powerful clones to hunt the Wild Energy Blytoros. He would see whether his clones would be enough to deal with a mutated God, or would he have to enter the fight personally.
"And finally… you have a Devil to dupe." Elise Sands tossed a huge black ball filled with Dark Rune carvings at him.
With just a glance, Elliot knew that it was the source of inspiration that powered Jessica\'s modifications.
However, if the black ball was the source of inspiration, what was she doing with her face so close to him?
He looked at Jessica Sands suspiciously whose face had turned red once more.
Jessica Sands sighed deeply and then shook her head lightly.
"I forgive you, Elliot." She said.
Elliot merely nodded in confusion and left it at that.
Women were truly strange creatures!!
He turned his attention to the black ball and smiled.
"Now, what exactly is this and how do I communicate with the Devil?"
